Riverside Home Designs has been Proudly Serving the Texas Hill Country and Surrounding areas Since 1984.

Over the years, we have grown into a full service building design firm located in Kerrville in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. We are one of the of Texas Hill Country's Premier Residential Building Design Firms. The President, James Kenalty, AIBD, CPBD is a Certified Professional Building Designer. He is accredited by the National Council of Building Designer Certification NCBDC. Certificate #44-528.

At Riverside Home Designs we produce full Architectural drawings that are customized to meet your individual building needs for a fraction of the costs Architects and other Design companies usually charge.

We follow recognized industry standard building codes.

Riverside Home Designs strives to provide plans that are detailed, and that provide a clear and concise representation of the project at hand. Our plans are designed to meet the current International Building Code, and if your project is located within a municipality that has enacted other local or city building codes those guidelines will also be followed.

Why follow a Building Code?

A. Well, it's really for your protection. You see, following a recognized building code ensures that certain proven standards are followed. Those standards were designed to protect you, the project owner. Sometimes builders complain about codes and standards that seem to be unnecessary or burdensome. We want you to consider that the IBC is there to protect you. If it were not for proven construction standards, some corner-cutting builders would render many projects unsafe. Consider that most professional accreditation agencies such as the Texas Society of Architects (AIA), National Council of Building Designer Certification (NCBDC), and the American Institute of Building Designs (AIBD) all endorse the family of International Codes for safety.

Our area of service is quite broad. We represent North West San Antonio to the Fair Oaks Ranch area. We have done extensive work in Boerne along the Hwy. 46 Corridor all the way to Bulverde. Our portfolio can claim several Large Texas Style Ranch Homes in the Comfort Center Point area, and of course Kerrville which is our home base. We also commute extensively to Mountain Home, Hunt, Ingram, Bandera, Pipe Creek and the surrounding areas.

Our range of projects include designing Private Charter Schools, Commercial Office Buildings, Small Tract Homes, and of course, many very, very Large Custom Dream Homes with every possible luxury amenity imaginable for our clients. Over the years, we've designed pretty much anything that you can imagine. We have even been retained to custom design a luxury yacht that sailed from Kemah Texas. Wow! that was exciting.

The quality of the plans we produce, is directly related to the scope of the work involved, and the level of difficulty of the project at hand.
